Husky Bicycles was founded in 1997 as a result of a joint venture between Bicicletas Mercurio S.A. de C.V. of San Potosi, Mexico, and HLF Distributing, Inc. of Houston, Texas.

In 2005, Husky Bicycles became a wholely owned subsidiary of HLF Distributing, Inc. of Houston Texas, a 100-year old distributor of bicycles and bicycle parts.  HLF is a woman owned company certified by WBENC.

In recent years, Husky Bicycles has developed innovative industrial bicycle and tricycle frame technology, using chromoly to enhance the strength and durability of its bicycles and tricycles. As a result, Husky industrial bicycles and tricycles are now sold with lifetime fork and frame warranty. The only manufacturer that offers this warranty.  Today, Husky bicycles and tricycles are used in many industrial and distribution companies contributing to efficient and environmentally friendly personnel transport.
